Leonard Bartkowiak

Leonard Bartkowiak, age 72 of Washington, TX passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007 at his residence.

Born July 26, 1935 in Chappell Hill, TX to Ike and Sophia Marshall Bartkowiak, he attended Chappell Hill schools and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. After having served in the U.S. Army, he was employed by L.K. Industries as a machinist.

Survivors: brothers and sisters-in-law Bernard “Benny” & Carolyn Bartkowiak, John “Johnny” and Dorothy Bartkowiak all of Houston, Victor and Dorothy Bartkowiak of Washington, Raymond and Pat Bartkowiak of Willis; sister and brother-in-law Florence and Marvin Kocich of Houston and numerous nephews and nieces.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2007 in Brenham Memorial Chapel by Deacon Dan Nowak.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2007 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill with Father Vincent Chacko, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
