Obituary

On April 15, 2022, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Linda Addicks Priesmeyer was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous 25 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Linda was born on November 25, 1953 to Melvin John Addicks and Gladys Louise (Glaser) Addicks at St. Francis Hospital in Brenham, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church.

Linda is a member of the Brenham High School graduating class of 1972. After high school, she attended Blinn College, where she met her husband, Jimmy. She then attended Sam Houston State University and graduated in 1975.

Jimmy and Linda married on May 1, 1976 at Christ Lutheran Church, where she remained a lifelong member. She enjoyed volunteering at Christ Lutheran very much; as well as traveling, fishing, beach visits, and most importantly time spent with children and grandchildren.
Linda was a very passionate Brenhamite! She knew there was no better place to raise her family. She began her banking career at First Savings Association and retired as the Branch Manager previously operated by Guaranty Federal Bank.

Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy; son Kyle & Jamie (Stockton) Priesmeyer; daughter Kaci (Priesmeyer) and Preston Dengler; son Koy Priesmeyer; grandchildren Kennedy, Virginia Kate, and Kullen Priesmeyer, Owen, Matthew, and Nolan Dengler; sister Mary Ann (Addicks) and brother-in-law David Lehmann; brother Jimmie Addicks; brother Donnie and sister-in-law Debbie (Klepper) Addicks; sister-in-law Judy (Priesmeyer) and Don Luedke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Gladys Addicks, in-laws Erwin and Kathryn Priesmeyer, nephew Ashley Lehmann, and niece Elizabeth Luedke.

Pallbearers include Michael Lehmann, Kevin Addicks, Brock Addicks, Philip Addicks, Brandon Luedke and Chad Luedke.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 8 am to 7 pm with family present from 5 pm to 7 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 10:30 am at Christ Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Mark Groves, with a burial to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley for their support during this difficult time, as well as extend a very special thank you to Bertha Milam who cared for Linda like she was her own daughter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Christ Lutheran Church or Day School, or a charity of your choosing.
