Obituary

Lohnie Hines Boyett, 93, of Brenham passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 in St. Joseph’s Regional Health Care Center in Bryan, Texas.

She was born July 14, 1913 in Washington County, Texas to Henry and Malinde Dreyer Peters. On November 16, 1913, she was baptized in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville by Rev. Karl Mueller and confirmed on April 10, 1927 in Friedens United Church of Christ of Washington by Rev. F. W. Braun. In 1949, Lohnie married Guy Hines. On August 18, 1960, she married Jack Boyett in Caldwell, Texas.

Lohnie was a homemaker. Her memberships included Friedens United Church of Christ and Millican Ladies Club. She was an avid Aggies and Astros fan.

Her parents, her two husbands, brothers Raymond and Harold Peters and sisters Lydia Buck, Norma Boenker and Irene Armatys preceded her in death.

Survivors are: sisters Lillie Harrell of Houston, Ella Mae Krause, Selma Naumann, Mabel Dufilho all of Brenham: sister-in-law Margaret Peters of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 in Friedens United Church of Christ in Washington with Rev. Ron Trimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Krause, Barry Boenker, Morris Peters, Claude Elkins, Loyd Finke, Jim Brown, Chris Viviano and Randy Buck.
