Lonnie Dreyer

Lonnie Dreyer age 81 of Brenham passed away Thursday, August 18, 2005 at his home.

He was born on November 18, 1923 in the Kuykendall Community of Washington County, Texas to Henry and Sophie Wolff Dreyer and was educated in the Kuykendall School. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville and was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem. Lonnie retired from Brenham Wholesale as an order selector for shipping merchandise. For many years, he drove the patient shuttle cart at the Brenham Clinic and had also worked at the Auto Salon Car Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bernadine on September 1, 2001; 4 brothers and 1 sister.

His loving family includes sons and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Linda Dreyer, Jimmie and Karen Dreyer, David and Brenda Dreyer all of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Dean Winkelmann of Burton; 6 grandchildren Stacie and Stephen Draehn, Kristie and Brandon Marth, Kevin Dreyer, Justin Dreyer, Shannon Winkelmann, Haley Winkelmann; 3 great-grandchildren Cameron Draehn, Carson Draehn, Emma Raye Marth; sister Annie Peters of Brenham; sisters-in-law Doris Noerenberg, Gladys Hueske both of Brenham.

Visitation with the Dreyer family will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jason Korthauer officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Kieke, Jerry Kieke, Arnold “Bubba” Dreyer, Glynn Dreyer, Billie “Bo” Noerenberg and Gary Noerenberg.
