Obituary

Lonnie Gottlieb Jaster, 74, of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at his residence.

Mr. Jaster was born August 3, 1931, to Gottlieb and Minnie Rosenbaum Jaster in Burton, Texas. He was baptized April 14, 1946 and confirmed both at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. He also, later attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mr. Jaster served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army for five years, during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. For many years, he worked as a salesman for Dr. Pepper. More recently, he worked at a grocery store in Sealy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include son Frank Michael Jaster and wife Penne of San Antonio; daughters Vickie Haack and husband Gary of Brenham and Lottie Terry and husband John C. of College Station; grandchildren Rachel, Stefanie and Micah Jaster, Bradley, Chris and Aaron Terry, Sydney and Harrison Haack; nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16 from 6-8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Parnell officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Burton, TX.

Pallbearers are John Terry, Brad Terry, Chris Terry, Aaron Terry, and Gary Haack.
