Louise Kaigler

Louise Kaigler, 89, of Brenham, passed away on February 19, 2019.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 25, at 10:00am, at Brenham Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Chappell Hill Masonic Cemetery. Dr. Doug Hall will officiate.

Louise was born near Pierce, Oklahoma, on July 26, 1929, to Thomas Sheridan and Cora Cleavland Mays Pennington. She was the youngest of seven siblings. Louise grew up and attended school in south Texas. She attended nursing school in Harlingen. She was also employed as a telephone operator. On April 28, 1951, she was united in marriage to Weldon Kaigler. They made their home in Brenham in 1961. Louise was a loving homemaker and mother to her and Weldon’s three sons. Louise was a kind, sweet person. She enjoyed puzzles, quilting, and fishing trips. Louise also enjoyed gardening; roses were her favorite. Louise’s faith was an important part of her life; she was a very active member of Brenham Church of Christ.

Louise is survived by her husband Weldon; sons Larry, Carl (and wife Terri), James; four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
