Lynn Oldrich Dusek, Sr.

Lynn Oldrich Dusek, Sr., 81, of Brenham passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center in Bryan.

Lynn was born September 16, 1924 in Wesley to Oldrich and Libuna (Langer) Dusek. Lynn’s mother died during childbirth and was mothered by his Aunt Minnie Peal and his grandmother Francis Langer since birth. He was baptized on November 30, 1924 and confirmed on October 1, 1939 both in Wesley Brethren Church and attended Wesley school. On October 30, 1955 he was married to LeVerna Kirchner in the bride’s parents residence by Rev. Wolfe. Lynn was retired from Gates Rubber Products Manufacturing Co. and was also engaged in farming.

His parents, wife LeVerna Kirchner Dusek on April 30, 1999, son-in-law Royce Mascheck on July 5, 2002, his Special Aunt Minnie Peal, 3 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law and 2 nephews preceded him in death.

Survivors include son Lynn Dusek, Jr. and wife Beth of Brenham; daughter Verlyn Mascheck of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren Anna Dusek, Lee Dusek, Tonie Mascheck, Cody Mascheck and Kyle Mascheck.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006 in the Wesley Brethren Church with Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Edwin Martens, Cody Mascheck, Glynn Dreyer, Don Dreyer, Herbert Schomburg, Jr., and Buddy Janes.

Honorary pallbearers are Lee Dusek and Kyle Mascheck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wesley Brethren Church.
