Obituary

Margaret Faterkowski, 83 of Chappell Hill, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27th from 5 p.m. until rosary is recited at 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 28th at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill with Father Josef Musiol, SDS, JCD as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Margaret (Nowak) Faterkowski was born on January 24, 1935 in Chappell Hill, Texas. She was the daughter of Steve and Theresa (Kwiatkowski) Nowak. She was baptized in and a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. She was active at her church, working in the kitchen at Bingo time, singing in the choir and working with the altar rosary society.

On November 14, 1953, she married Bennie Faterkowski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. They made their home in Houston, where she was employed by Kaiserhoff Consolidated assembling windows. Later, the couple returned to Chappell Hill. Here she worked cleaning homes. She loved the work and especially the people she worked for. She always made you feel welcomed. She enjoyed working in her yard and with flowers. All this was done with a big smile.

Survivors include: daughter, Shirley Sebesta and friend Hubert Byrum; son, Daniel Faterkowski; grandchildren, Brian Sebesta and wife Diane, Lisa Pless and husband David, Daniel Faterkowski, Jr. and fiancée Amanda, Douglas Faterkowski and friend Brooke, Travis Faterkowski and fiancée Sarah; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh and Brendal Pless, Brody Sebesta, Gunner Faterkowski, Braxton Faterkowski, Kayden Faterkowski, Rylan Faterkowski; sister, Pauline Jacobs and husband Alton; sister-in-law, Gertrude Nowak; numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by: husband Bennie, parents, grandson Darrell Faterkowski, brother Leonard Nowak, brother-in-law Vernon Sander, loving pets Pinta and Katy.

Pallbearers will be Brian Sebesta, David Pless, D.J. Faterkowski, Douglas Faterkowski, Travis Faterkowski and David Nowak. Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Jacobs and Hubert Byrum.
