Margaretti K. Wingfield

Margaretti K. Wingfield passed away May 12, 2025 in Brenham, Texas. She was born September 11, 1929 in Christiansburg, Virginia to parents Robert and Gladys (Whittington) Hendry. She was a graduate of Mt. Clemens High School in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Margaretti (Kathy) worked as a medical transcriptionist at Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi. She had a special heart for animals, especially her dog Harvey. She was an avid bowler winning many trophies. Her favorite pastime was reading Louis L’Amour western novels. Her fondest memories were raising a family on the farm in Marine City, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by: Robert Hendry, father; Robert C. Hendry, brother; Thomas Hendry, brother; Betty (Hendry) Sheppard, sister; and Elizabeth Ann (Hendry)Kapke, sister.

Surviving family includes: Tracy Vanderford, daughter and her husband Robert Delaneo; Bryce Vanderford, grandson, and his wife Xanthia Vanderford; Dennis Wingfield, stepson; and Michael Hendry, nephew and his wife Jean Hendry.

Margaretti would want to be remembered for her love of animals.
