Marjorie Louise Peters

Marjorie Louise Peters, age 85 of Houston, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Spring Branch Traditional Care (formerly Sam Houston Hospital).

Marjorie Louise Roberts was born October 10, 1923 in Joaquin, Texas. She was the 6th of 7 children of and Thomas Gude and Dahlia Lula (Guy) Roberts. On August 20, 1955, she married Elvis A. Peters in Houston. Marjorie was a beautician, loved to sing, and had a green thumb.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elvis A. Peters on May 14, 1985; daughter Catherine Lou Peters in May of 1969; parents Dahlia and Thomas; brothers Murray, Edgar and Thomas Roberts; sisters Madie Chambless, Eunice James. and Delta Crowsen.

She is survived by daughter Arlene Hagaman and husband Donald of Cypress; son Gary A. Peters of Houston; grandchildren Tiffany Peters of Houston, Kimberly Van Tassell and husband Ralph, Julie Hoker and husband Chris and Meredith Davenport and husband Kyle; great grandchildren Kayla, Madeleine and Emma Van Tassell, Ethan Smotek, Alex and Hayden Hoker.

Viewing will be Saturday, October 3rd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3rd at 4 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 10135 Woodedge Drive (Auditorium B), Houston, TX with Mr. Carroll Drummond officiating.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 5th at 2 p.m. in Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top, Texas.

Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
