Obituary
Martin Fred Wiesepape, Sr., age 88 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2005 in Trinity Care Center.
Martin was born in the Salem Community of Washington County on September 2, 1917 to William Henry and Emma (Martin) Wiesepape. Was baptized November 18, 1917 in Salem Lutheran Church of Salem by Rev. Johannes Mgebroff, confirmed March 20, 1932 in the same church by Rev. Wm. Utesch and educated in Salem public school. On January 27, 1938 he married Tekla Wensel in Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome. He was lifelong member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem and served as trustee for rural Salem schools for several years. He had been employed as a truck driver for Woodson Lumber Co. and Boettcher Lumber Co. Hobbies were collecting pens, caps and watching Astro baseball games with his wife Tekla.
His parents; 5 sisters; 1 brother; sons Elroy Wiesepape and Don Wiesepape; and granddaughter Marcy Schroeder preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife Tekla Wensel Wiesepape, sons Martin Wiesepape, Jr. and wife Betty Ann and Earl Wayne Wiesepape and Betty Jean Wiesepape; daughter Delores Ann Schroeder and husband Edgar; 3 grandchildren Debbie Genz, Mark Wiesepape and wife Kristin and Ross Schroeder and wife Dayna; 7 great-grandchildren Stacy Genz, McKenna, Samantha, Garrett and Ella Wiesepape and Addyson and Alldyn Schroeder; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2005 in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastor Charles Parnell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Wiesepape, Ross Schroeder, Jimmie Weiss, Edwin Weiss, Jr., Calvin Wehmeyer, Jerry Warmke, Ricky Weiss and Rodney Weiss. Honorary pallbearers are Gilbert Weiss, Edward Wensel, Daniel Dierking and Edsel Wiesepape.
