Obituary

Mary Louise (Mary Belle) Crouch, age 91, of Brenham passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in Trinity Medical Center.

Mrs. Crouch was born March 3, 1914 in Brenham to Albert and Meta (Rogas) Giesecke. She was a graduate of Brenham High School. She was employed at Citizen’s Pharmacy and Perry Brothers. On October 7, 1940 she married Charles Boyd Crouch, Jr. at her parent’s home in Brenham. Mrs. Crouch and her husband lived in Houston for 40 years, before returning to Brenham in 1976. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, camping, and table games. She had a love of animals. She was a life-long Methodist, being a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brenham.

Her parents and sister Ella Mae Stephens preceded her in death.

Her loving family includes: her devoted husband of 65 years, Charles Crouch, Jr. of Brenham; son Robert “Bob” Crouch and wife Beverly of Houston; daughter Charlesette Polk and husband Leroy “Scooter” of Brenham; 4 grandchildren, Christa Crouch of Beaumont, Denise Crouch of Deer Park, Robert “Robbie” Heugatter and fiancé Pamela Cowan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Deborah Day and husband Jeff of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Christina Day and Jessica Day; step grandchildren, Cesar and Tammy Valencia, Steve and Tena Bynum, Larry and Rhonda Polk; step great-grandchildren, Jason Moore, Tara Bynum, Amanda Bynum, Stephanie Bynum, Taylor Polk, Sumer Polk; step great-great-grandchildren, Jillian Moore Peyton Moore; sister Almarie Beatrice “Tincy” Picone of Brenham; sister-in-law, Wilda Lange of Joplin, Missouri along with nieces and nephews.

The Crouch family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Dougherty officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robbie Heugatter, Jeff Day, Barry Ganske, Archie Heugatter, Kyle Picone and Kevin Picone. Honorary pallbearer is Gary Holmes.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.
