You are in our thoughts and prayers and hope you are finding comfort in the fact you were part of such a great and loving family, Matt and Ann were examples of God's Angles, in that they were so good and loving.
They will be missed, but we have great memories.

Some of my very best memories are of spending time out at the ranch. I think I spent more time there with Darla during our High School years than I did at my own home. I loved that place and was in awe of the family she had. I was always impressed with who her parents were and what they did and the adventures they had shared and the family and extended family. Life for this family was truly lived to the fullest for all of them, the way it should be. Mr. Syler has gone home to be with those who have gone before him and to prepare for those yet to come but his legacy will live on through his children and through their children and his name will be spoken many times and it will always be spoken with great pride and love. This man was truly admired and loved by his family and friends and I am honored and thankful to say I knew Matt Syler. To the family I pray that God wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you now and in the days ahead when you need him most. God Bless

We want to offer our sincere condolences on the recent loss of your father. Many childhood memories of knowing this great man of God! I hope that in some small measure these words bring you some comfort at this sad time. I am reminded of those words from the Bible that say "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted."

May God's blessings and peace be with you and your wonderful family.

Darla, we sorrow with you at the loss of your dad and the granddad of your children. Matt was such a quiet gentleman, and was one of the most respectful men we've ever known. In the face of his many lifetime achievements, he remained incredibly modest, humble, and soft-spoken. We will miss his visits to Richmond and our time to talk with him. Our prayers and thoughts are with Candido, you and your family this morning as you prepare to attend the services for "Bat-Bat." With love & sympathy, Mike & Carmen

While I did not have the honor of knowing Mr. Matthew Syler, I do have the pleasure of knowing his son, Jeb, very well. They say an acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, and that tells me Mr. Matthew Syler was a great man.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to you, Jeb, and to all your family in this difficult time of loss.

God's faithful servant, Job, asked in Job chapter 14, verse 14: "If a man dies, can he live again?" He then answers that question in verse 15 where he says, directing his words to God Himself: "You will call, and I will answer you. You will yearn for the work of your hands."

Those are beautiful words, because not only do they confirm the Biblical hope of the resurrection, but they make me think about how God feels about those that have passed away in death. He "yearns" for the work of his hands.

My prayer for the entire Syler family is that you too will draw comfort from your faith in God and the hope that He gives us.

I was fortunate to meet Mr. Syler several times over the last 10 years.
What an amazing man and what a great family.
He accomplished much in his lifetime and has left a legacy of success for all his family to follow.

He was a great man and I always enjoyed visiting with him at the gym. My dad & mom (Alvin & Esther Schulz)were friends of your parents during dad's ranching days with Thelidick Brangus Ranch in Bleiblerville. My dad had great respect for your dad and with your dad's help, they raised great Brangus cattle and had good grasses. They competed at HLSR for many years. It was a great time for me and so many memories. May God grant you the strength and courage as you face what lies ahead. With Sympathy

Dear Jeb & Melanie,

I just want you two to know how much I love the stories you've shared with me over the years that I've know you, about your dad. I feel like I've know him all my life, for I was in the cattle business (kettle bidness-I love it)myself for many years. Even though I never had the previlige of knowing him, I know how awesome he was and the most impressive characteristic I heard about was his love for people and his never ending commitment to lending a helping hand to those in need. But most of all, I heard of his incredible faith in his Lord and Savior and the example he lived. Yes, his legecy will live on and continue to make a wonderful impact on many many people through the wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren he's left behind.
Jeb, you and Melanie are truly two of the most wonderful dear people that I've ever known and you're married to two awesomely wonderful people as well: Alma and Tim.
So I send my deep and heart felt sympathy to you and the entire family during this very trying time in your life and know that you are drawing on God's awesome comfort and strength in this hour of need.

Love you guys buches.
