Maura Roberts

Maura J. Roberts, 85, of Brenham passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 in Gazebo Terrace.

Maura was born in Dallas on July 24, 1924 to parents John and Maria (Redmond) Fowler. On July 25, 1953 she married Robert “Bob” Roberts in Houston. Maura was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a secretary and homemaker. Maura enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with family.

Her parents, husband Robert “Bob” Roberts, grandson Ronnie Shaw, sisters Patricia McCauley and Eileen Reed preceded Maura in death.

Her loving family survives: son and daughter-in-law John and Jackie Shaw of Sugar Land; daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Robert Fitzsimmons of Italy; Kerry and Roy Hohlt of Brenham; grandchildren Greg and Pat Shaw, Jonathan Shaw, Sandra and T. J. Morgan, Stephanie and Wayne Fairman, Sean Hohlt; great-grandchildren Madden and Deacon Morgan, Emily and Sarah Fairman and Payton Hohlt; brothers Jack Fowler and Douglas Fowler; sister and brother-in-law: Catherine and Pat Savage.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 12 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Father Bradford Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
