Merri Sue (Gaskamp) Kluck

Merri Sue Kluck, 66 of Brenham, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 11th from 6-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 12th at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor Kyle Merkle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Merri Sue was born May 9, 1951 in Brenham, Texas to Walter August and Annie (Wieghat) Gaskamp. She was a 1969 graduate of Brenham High School. On April 11, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart Michael Kluck, at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. She was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran where she taught Sunday school and had been Sunday school superintendent. Merri Sue worked in child care and with home health agencies. Later she was employed as office manager by Sun Pools for over 20 years and from there retired. She enjoyed working in her yard, attending family sporting events, travelling with her husband, and any time spent with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by parents.

Surviving loving family includes: husband, Michael Kluck; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Scott Follis; son Brandon Kluck; granddaughter, Jennifer Theriot; great grandson, Michael Theriot; step-grandchildren, Justin Follis, Lauren and Brandon Benoit, Clinton Follis and Kahla Wakefield; step-great-grandchildren, Carsen and Alexis Follis, Jaylynn Benoit, Ross and Rylee Follis; sister, Shirlynn Buck; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Rita Gaskamp, Fred Otto and Rosemary Gaskamp; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Derek Gaskamp, Taylor Gaskamp, Ryan Buck, Rustin Buck, Randall Buck, Scott Follis

Memorials are requested to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
