Obituary

Michael Joseph Kalil, Jr. strolled into heaven October 6, 2020 ready to hunt and fish in the best place ever forever.

Michael was born January 30, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Elizabeth and Michael Joseph Kalil, Sr. He was a graduate of Lamar High School and North Texas State. He married Pamela Jo “PJ” Ellison, October 14, 1995.

He is survived by his partner and wife, PJ; his daughter and son in law Alex and Jim Osborne; grandchildren Jackson (who is his birthday buddy) and Mathis; brother, Mark Kalil; father in law and mother in law, Jim and Ellen Ellison; brother in law Chuck Ellison and his wife, Tedi; sister in law Margie Warren and her husband Larry; nephews and nieces; Steven Michael Kalil, Kimberly and Dave Russell, Courtney and Lance Harvell, Trevor and Rachel Warren, Kelsey Warren and Nathan Warren...as well as great nieces and nephew Kathryn and Karter Russell; Bodie and Ellie Harvell; and special cousins Kathy Basinger and Mike Wells.

He is preceded in death by many family, friends and 4 legged spirits....all who celebrated his coming home with excitement and joy....and probably fought to greet him first....at least the 4 legged did.

Michael worked in the real estate and appraisal business all of his professional career. He did so with integrity, honesty, wisdom, humor and a lot of passion and compassion.

Those that knew Michael knew he lived all that mattered and ferociously protected all he loved. His loyalty and ability to be real at all times were some of his greatest gifts for those that knew and loved him.

Pallbearers are: Harold Wilson, Larry Nowicki, Bruce Redline, Chris Cashion, Bill Pennybacker and Mike Budell.

Honorary Pallbearers are all deer lease members from Paleface to Fredericksburg for the last 50 plus years.

There will be a private service for Michael’s Celebration of Life.

Memorials can be made to: Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park Association, P.O. Box 1, Washington, TX 77880 and Friends Church UCC, 2200 Southwood Drive, College Station, Texas 77845.
