Michael Przyborski, Sr.

Michael Przyborski, Sr., 71 of Brenham, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 11th from 5-7 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Services with mass will be held Friday, January 12th at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Reception will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Recreation Center. Graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery of Latium following the reception.

Michael David Przyborski was born September 15, 1946 in the Latium Community to Mike T. and Mary (Blazek) Przyborski and grew up on the family farm. Mike attended Burton schools and on April 24, 1965, he was married to Cathleen Muchow in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They had their son Little Mike in 1967 and Michelle in 1976. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and attended Sacred Heart Church at Latium.

Mike began work as a truck driver at Blue Bell Creameries and was a dedicated employee of 45 years. HE was affectionately known as Big Mike. While there, he was awarded “The Driver of the Year” by Texas DOT, and drove 4 million safe miles. Later, he became the transportation supervisor. Mike also owned a dozer business and hay service for many years and loved being outside. His hobbies included racing stock cars at Moody & Clary Speedway, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.

In his retirement years, Mike enjoyed the simple things in life. Each morning he looked forward to having coffee and talking with friends. He loved texting family and friends and playing games on his IPhone. He raised cattle on the family farm and enjoyed spending time outdoors. At home, he enjoyed quietly watching sunsets at the barn with his dog Buster. Mike cherished time with his family and loved gatherings, especially his birthday and fish fries. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, especially fishing and their many sports activities.

He was preceded in death by parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Herbert and Esther Muchow, siblings Helen, Agnes and Frank.

Loving family includes: wife of 51 years, Cathleen Przyborski; son, Michael Przyborski, Jr, and wife Amy; daughter, Michelle Gaskamp and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Marissa Kate Przyborski, Jon Harrison Colburn, Austin Kyle and Camden Michael Gaskamp; brother and sister-in-law, Wilfred and Genevieve Przyborski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Caroline Weed, Kenneth and Ann Muchow; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Austin Gaskamp, Camden Gaskamp, Jon Harrison Colburn, Larry Herr, Ernie Weatherby, Ron Smesny, Dennis Borowicz, Carl Przyborski, and Darrell Weed, Jr.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
