Obituary

Millie Ann Fuchs of Nacogdoches passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in Nacogdoches at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 14 days. She was born December 6, 1940, in Brenham to parents Erwin H. and Lonie (Naumann) Reue.

Millie attended Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, near Brenham. She also married her husband, Charles Fuchs, in 1960 in the same church. She was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the Nifty Fifties social group.

Millie retired after 21 years as a teller in the note department with BancorpSouth, formerly Fredonia State Bank. She also worked many years with Sears.

Millie enjoyed baking and spending time at the farm. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew her as Gigi.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Ginger Reue.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Fuchs; brother, David Reue; daughter, Michaelyn Greene and husband Mark; son, Neil Fuchs and wife Angela; granddaughter, Miranda Anderson and husband Charles and their children, Michael, Casey, and Clayton; grandsons, Daniel Greene and Andrew Fuchs; granddaughters, Olivia Fuchs and Autumn Greene; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nacogdoches. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor John Cain.

Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at La Bahia Cemetery in Burton, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Greene, Andrew Fuchs, Charles Anderson, Patrick Greer, Mike Stevenson, Shawn Faust, and Dewayne Garner.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
