I was certainly sorry to hear about his death. He and I were roommates in the Pentagon Barracks during the 1950-51 school year. I knew him as Norman, and have very good memories of him. He had been on my mind for some time, and just tonight found him listed in the latest LSU Alumni directory. Intending to call him tomorrow, I decided to Google his name, and discovered that I was 9 days too late. I will have to wait until I go home to be with the Lord to see him again. I know that all of you miss him greatly, but know that we will be with him for an eternity if we have Jesus as our Savior.

Uncle Drexel will forever be a very special person in my life. He was wonderful...kind, funny, intelligent, & so much fun! I always enjoyed talking with him and hearing his stories and his open-minded perpective/point of view on things. When I bought an run-down investment property in New Orleans he loaned me a car-load of tools..and even offered to come and help me! I appreciated his concern and thoughtfulness. My parents thought the world of him, too. I am blessed to have had him for an uncle...and will love & miss him always, but I have great memories. I'm sad to say goodbye, and I want you all to know how sorry I am for your loss.
Love to all,
Pam

My time in Mississippi with Matt at his Grandfather's house were some of the best times as a child. Matt and I built a 3 story tree house that stood long after we grew and were off to college. Mr. Head always reminded me of the folks in Greenvine, Wesley, Industry, Fayetteville area where they were welcoming, polite, humorous and always listened. Will miss Ol' Grandpa Head dearly. You're in my thoughts and prayers Mamma, Papa Boeer, Marla and all those wonderful Heads out there.
