Obituary

Patrick James Bilski, 49, of Cypress, TX passed away on October 24, 2021. Pat was born on April 6, 1972, in Houston, TX to Billie J Bilski, Jr. and Betty (Matura) Bilski.

Pat graduated 8th grade from St. Ambrose Catholic School, in 1986 and from St. Pius X High School in 1990. He attended North Harris Community College for a couple of years after graduation but ultimately found his calling in HVAC work. Pat started his career with Professional Air Systems in 1992 and enjoyed several years of working with his best friend, Eric and his boss and mentor David and wife Cathy. He enjoyed the various homes he serviced and customers he quickly became friends with just by mentioning the “Bilski” name. He later moved on to work for Accurate Air Systems and Triangle Insulation for a short period of time where he extended his work family and friends. In 2009, Pat finally found his home at Harris County Department of Education, first as a maintenance technician and then a Facilities Project Manager. He was blessed with an amazing supportive work family at HCDE. He recently celebrated his 12th year anniversary. Pat made an impression on all those he met and had numerous work friends that he continued to keep in touch with over the years.

Pat was a loud, funny, outgoing, proud Texas Polack. He LOVED his music and could sing all the words to numerous songs from any genre, although Polish music was his favorite. Brian Marshall’s CD was played almost daily. Pat was a people person, he cherished his time with his family and friends, going to the country and going hunting. Some of his favorite hunting trips were with his buddies, Eric, Tommy and Mike or in Weimer at the Shaw place with all his friends. Pat was a sports fanatic. He could have a conversation with anyone about almost any sport. Watching his favorite teams, The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros, while drinking cold beer on his patio was one of his favorite pastimes. He looked forward to his annual trips to the Comal River for almost 40 years and the many trips to the lake, beach, and skiing with Brian, Christy, Luke and Jake. Pat was a proud pappa watching his oldest daughter Sarah play volleyball for years and traveling with her for tournaments. You could hear him from across the gym hollering “Let’s Go 7”. He took pride in helping his youngest daughter Loryn with her FFA pig. Pat spent numerous hours online studying pig judging and at the barn with Loryn and her pigs. He spent years of bar-be-cuing and drinking cold beer with is dad, Billie, father-in-law, Robert and good friends, Brian Wisnoski, Alex Kmich, Jeff Bilski, and Greg Kmiecik. He finally won 3rd place in beans earlier this year at the Independence cookoff. The certificate was on the mantel over the fireplace for months. Pat was very particular about his yard and super proud of his yard of the month. You would have thought he won it every month of the year.

Pat met his wife, Robyn at the Chappell Hill bazaar in 1992, they were married on June 6, 1998. They still hold the record for one of the largest Grand Marches lead by Uncle Joe and Aunt Carolyn Bilski in the history of Polish weddings. They lived in Cypress, TX with their two beautiful daughters, Sarah (19) and Loryn (16) and their chocolate lab Molly B (6). As their girls are getting older, they were starting to plan for their empty nester weekends and future retirement at the family land in Brenham. Pat recently found his happy place working cows and hunting in Brenham, with his cousin’s Jeff and Dwayne. He recently purchased his dream “toy”, a ranger, from his cousin Dwayne, to drive and check on the cows. He was so excited about all of this and so looking forward to sharing this special place with his wife and girls.
