Lloyd, you have my deapest sympathy. Your Dad was a fine man. I got to know him as I finshed in Industrial Arts and had many classes with him. He was the most respected Professor in that department. I know your loss is great and you have our prayers. John

Dear Lloyd and Betty: I have wondered about Paul and Gladys for years, and now I know. They were our dearest neighbors for 32 years and we missed them dearly. Please accept my sincere condolence and prayers. Tony died in 1991 and in 2004 I moved to Kingsley Place, 215 W. Farrel Rd., Lafayette 70508, #211. It is an Assisted Living Facility. I sold my house on St. Joseph St. to my daughter, Mary. I would love to hear from you, about your girls, and how your parents health was to the end. How old was Gladys when she died? My tel. no. is 337-991-9394. Again, my sincere sympathy. Hope all is well with you both. Love, Betty Speyrer

It saddens me to hear of the passing of Mr. Van Horn. I grew up next to him and Gladys. We smashed bushes and broke screens playing football and baseball in our front yard and Mr. Van Horn never fussed. He always cheerfully just came out and fixed whatever it was that we messed up. I have missed him ever since they left Lafayette to move to Texas. He was a most wonderful neighbor.

The 2 years I spent working with Kruse Village were made even better just by knowing Mr. Van Horn. His love for life, even though he was in a wheelchair, should be a lesson to everyone. He praised his Lord for each day and made the world a much better place. I know he is happy to be home with his Lord and his wife.

May God bless you, Lloyd and Betty, for all the love you gave Mr. Van Horn.
