Pauline Anne Wilbraham - Guestbook

Dearest friend (sister), you're gone physically, but your spirit, will live forever in my soul. I miss our talks, your smile, your kind words when I needed them. You must have been scared towards the end...but never complained or let your loved ones know it. You kept fighting,...and Lavonne and I kept lighting candles as I promised we would. Rest now my friend..in peace. Suffering is over. .Conrad, I m here for you, always. I hope you know that.

Dear Pauline,
I would like to say a few more words than last time.
I’ll miss our long chats each week, sometimes twice a week. I’ll also miss the photos you’d send me of Twigg, Scout, the cats and your garden. I enjoyed sending you photos and hopefully amusing videos.
Thank you for being my sister. In the words of a famous song “We’ll meet again…….”.
Much love,
Janetx

It was her nature to be a servant at heart. She was a friend to all.

Pauline, it has truly been my pleasure to have known you the last 14 years. Your warm smile, gentle voice and such class I will remember forever. You are the classiest person I have known! When you were hit with numerous tragic things, your last year, I watched you with grace rise above. You never missed an opportunity to look sharp whether it was walking your beloved dogs, Scout and Twigg, your weekly trip to recycle center or to the grocery store. Your resilience left such a huge impression on me! We knew you would get through this as we regularly talked about your fun and exciting adventure you were going to go on when all this stuff was behind you. I wish for you, you would have been able to travel and live it up prior to leaving this world. You gave for years - decades, to others never asking anything in return. Your loyalty was something you don’t see often. I will remember you forever and always. I still get excited when I realize it’s Friday and I’ll get to see you. We had so much fun!! I’d love to hear your sweet accent and phrase, “ok sweetie, I’ll call in tomorrow”, which meant you were coming by my store. I’ll also miss discussing all the fun English shows on TV. You were just so fun! I miss you terribly. I’m so thankful I have so many great photos of you “modeling”.

Conrad, I’m here. If you need anything please let me know. I plan to keep in touch with you as I know the road ahead of you will be tough. Your Mum would want you to be happy and carry on. While I realize it’s hard, I trust you hold on to those great memories you’ve made together in times of sadness. Your Mum wouldn’t have wanted to be here in her condition - she was the one that took care of everyone else and wanted little in return. Hugs and prayers to you always!

To dear Conrad

My memories of your mum are of an incredibly attractive, stylish, and vivacious woman. I admired her, she was so cool, but so warm and welcoming to me when I visited Houston. I remember her animals, her impeccable style, her sense of fun, and the pride she had in you.

I'm so sorry she has gone, and that you must suffer the intense pain of loss. But I know her memory and presence will live on in you, and her strength in you too.

Thinking of you always, and sending all our love to you.

I was so so sorry to hear of Pauline’s death. I have fond memories of coming down to Weybridge as a children with Mam and dad (Cathy and George Stoddart) and my brother John. We had a few holidays there and enjoyed seeing Uncle George and Aunty Evelyn and the girls. You never forget the happy times of your life.
Don’t think I’ve met you Conrad but thinking about you at this sad time.

Pauline, you were our favourite "Girlfriend". Our friendship lasted over 40 years in Houston ever since we first met in the Richmond Arms!
I miss our weekly calls. Your positive outlook was amazing throughout the ordeal of your recent illness. You were never judgmental and always supportive. You were loved my so many and will be sorely missed.
I hope that the strength you showed helps Conrad through this sad time for him.

My wife, Valerie, has been friends with Pauline, Pamela and Janet for too many years to mention. Myself and the rest of the family met Pauline a few years back during her stay with us when visiting the Island.

Pauline was truly lovely and real pleasure to have met.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to have known Pauline was better from the experience. Her love for her family and animals was an example to us all.

My love and respect goes out to Conrad who has looked after his Mum as a son should. All the memories of growing up will be prominent so embrace them.

Also to Janet and Pamela for the loss of a sibling. The bond siblings have is often forgotten but the untold memories and adventures they share, later to include Val, is so special. In their eyes Pauline will be seen as the bubbly, cheerful, animal loving, and caring little girl who never changed.

The Chase family will always toast your memory in our Christmas speeches. You will not be forgotten.

RIP

I was deeply saddened to hear of Pauline’s passing. She was was loyal, honest, true and I considered her family.

For over 40 years, Pauline worked faithfully alongside my father with loyalty, grace, and unwavering commitment. Pauline deserved better in the end. Her honesty, morals, and character are missed more now than ever.

Pauline’s legacy lives on in the countless ways she supported what is left of our family. She will be remembered with deep respect, gratitude, and affection.

Conrad, please accept my heartfelt condolences. You are in our prayers and thoughts. Pauline will be greatly missed.
