Pauline Jozwiak

Pauline Jozwiak age 79 of Chappell Hill passed away Monday, August 15, 2005 at St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center in Bryan.

Pauline was born in Brenham on March 5, 1926 to Wallace and Annie (Stegent) Skweres. She was baptized on March 5, 1926; took her first communion on October 23, 1937 and confirmed on October 24, 1940 all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Monsignor Charles Weisnerowski. On October 18, 1944 she was married to A. P. Jozwiak at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Monsignor Charles Weisnerowski.

For many years Pauline was owner of Jozwiak’s Store in Chappell Hill and until recently still maintained making homemade sausage and she was a homemaker. Pauline was a faithful member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband A.P. Jozwiak on February 8, 1992 and one brother.

Her loving family includes: sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Theresa Jozwiak of Brenham, Jerome “J.J.” and Renee Jozwiak of Chappell Hill; daughters and son-in-law, Shirley and Larry Kmiec and Patricia “Pat” Jozwiak all of Chappell Hill; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Roman and Christine Skweres of Houston; sister Delores Kendziora of Beasley.

Visitation with the Jozwiak family will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2005 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Rosary recited by the Altar Society will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by Rosary recited by Father Leonard Onwumere at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2005 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill with Father Leonard Onwumere and Monsignor Benedict Zientek as con-celebrants. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers are Michael Kmiec, Jason Kmiec, Wayne Jozwiak, Andrew Jozwiak, Billy Skweres, Kenneth Kendziora, Larry Kendziora and Roman Skweres, Jr.
