Obituary

Ralph Conway, age 98 of Brenham passed away May 5, 2024 surrounded by his children.

Ralph was born February 12, 1926 in Bryan, Texas to Lester and Rosa (Merka) Conway. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Baytown, Texas in 1944. Ralph served in US Army during World War II in the Pacific and a MP in the occupation of Japan. Ralph married Marjorie "Margie" Earle April 17, 1954 at Highlands Methodist Church in Highlands, Texas. In Highlands they built a home on family property and welcomed three children.

After retirement as a Mechanical Contractor from Exxon Oil, Ralph spent time with family and friends. He enjoyed mowing grass when opportunities became available. When he and Margie moved to Oklahoma, Ralph would mow the yards of the neighboring widowed women. He cared for the lawn of a service man while he was called to duty.

He is preceded in death by: wife; son-in-law Clem Murski; parents; brothers Edward Conway and Jack Conway; brother-in-law Harold Aiken.

Ralph is survived by children; Cyndi Murski, Ralph “Bud” Conway, Jr. (Jamie), and John Conway (Marchelle); grandchildren Dylan Conway (Jessica), Dalton Conway (Haley), Bethany Conway and Blake Conway (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren; Cayden Conway, Kyndal Conway, Cooper Conway and Cayse Conway; sister-in-law Polly Aiken and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, May 13th at 9:00 am at Brenham Memorial Chapel with services beginning at 10:00 am with Pastor Troy Sikes officiating. Burial will take place at Earthman Memory Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Dylan Conway, Dalton Conway, Blake Conway, Steve Palladino and Bill Aiken. Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff of Silver Sage Assisted Living and Inhabit Hospice for the care and compassionate that was shown to Ralph.

In lieu of flowers, family asked that memorials be made to Brenham Honor Guard P.O. Box 2383, Brenham, TX 77834-2383.
