Obituary

Raymond Curtice Williamson, Jr. born Oct. 7, 1921 in Rochester, N.Y. passed away on March 30, 2009, at Kruse Village, Brenham.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on April 2, 2009, at 408 N. Baylor, Brenham.

Williamson is survived by his wife Mary, her three daughters, Janet, Pat and Donna and grandchildren, Michael, Kate and Matthew. He is also survived by his sons, Patrick and Larry and grandchildren, Julie, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Courtney, Jason, Rachael, Alicia and Michelle.

Raymond and Mary were blessed with a wonderful, blended family. He was a great husband and father. He started his work life as a tool and die maker in upstate New York and then moved his family to Arizona where he worked as a design engineer for a defense contractor. He subsequently furthered his education and began teaching at the UNLV Vo/Tech center in Las Vegas, Nev. He had a love for sailing, model making and building. He was also the consummate volunteer, including EMS, firefighter, auxiliary policeman, Coast Guard auxiliary, child advocate and educator. He was always quick to
volunteer when others needed help
