Richard Jimmy Ligues

Richard Jimmy Ligues, 45, passed away January 7, 2011. He was born June 5, 1965 in Cameron, Texas to Ambrosio and Josephine Ligues. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and attended Brenham schools. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the New York Jets, Texas Longhorns and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed playing pitch, dominoes and football at family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by brothers Larry Ligues and Jeffrey Ligues.

Survivors include: wife Dolores (Lori) Ligues; sons, Richard Allen Ligues, Jett Andrew Ligues; granddaughter, Karli Angel Ligues; parents; brothers Bobby Ligues, Anthony Ligues.

Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel with rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brenham with Rev. David Ivey as celebrant. Interment follows at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Davey Meschwitz, Jesse Meschwitz, Juan Garza, Jack Turner, Jim Bernick, David Dreyer, Donald Ray and Ronnie Luhn.

The Richard Ligues Family Memorial Fund will be established at Capitol One Bank.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer, Brenham.
