Roberial "Rob" Boenker

Roberial “Rob” “Pops” Boenker was born August 2, 1940 to Ernest and Alvina Kettler Boenker. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. Rob attended William Penn School through the 8th grade. He attended Brenham High School and graduated in 1959. He went to barber school in Austin and worked as a barber for ten years. Rob worked as a machinist for twenty-one years. After working for the Washington County Fairgrounds for four years, he retired. Rob enjoyed riding and mowing on his old green John Deere tractor.

On January 29, 1972, Rob was married to Dorothy Kiesewetter at First United Methodist Church in Brenham. She preceded him in death April 25, 2021.

Rob is survived by his son Jack Boenker, Sr. and grandson, Jack “J.W.” Boenker, Jr.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 21 at 2:30 pm at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Mike Lindstron of First United Methodist Church officiating.
