Obituary
Robert Bobbie Meaux was born June 22, 1941 in Abbeville, Louisiana. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary Magdeline Catholic Church. Robert attended University of Southwestern Louisiana. On June 16, 1967, Robert married Rita Kelley in Houston. He served in the Texas National Guard. Robert was employed by Don Lath & Plaster early in his career. He retired from the ICS Department at Exxon Company. He was a member of Cenners In Square Dance Club for over 25 years, Spirits Exhibition Square Dance Club, and Plasterers Local # 79. He enjoyed square dancing, antiquing, farming, traveling, coin collecting, volunteer work, and listening to all types of music.
Robert passed away May 27, 2012 at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 70.
He was preceded in death by: his mother Eurasie Meaux and sister-in-law Della Boudoin.
His loving family includes: wife, Rita Meaux of Chappell Hill; mother-in-law, Otha Doan of Nacogdoches; brother, Emery J. Boudoin of Magnolia, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Pat Kelley of Bossier City, Louisiana; nieces and nephews, Carey and Wendy Troell, Sean Kelley, Sheila Ortega, Keith and Agnes Boudoin, John and Anita Crossley; great nieces and nephews, Anthony and Tammy Muto, Luke and Candice Crossley, John Michael Crossley, Laura Crossley, Eric Boudoin, Michelle and Kevin Limbrick, Scott and Abigail Swanson, Chase and Grant Troell, Brent Kelley, Chuck and Dawn Huddleston, Josh and Kimberlee Roberts; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 31st at 10 a.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Beckworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill.
Pallbearers will be nephews Anthony Muto, Carey Troell, John Crossley, Luke Crossley, John Michael Crossley, Keith Boudoin, Eric Boudoin, and Sean Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Rehfield and Heath Kirkwood.
Memorials may be given to Washington County EMS or the American Diabetes Association.
