Rodney Hanks

Rodney Hanks was born April 14,1945 in Pasadena, Texas to Elmore and Norma Jean Hanks. After a long fought battle with heart disease, Rodney passed away November 22, 2003.

Rodney is survived by his mother Norma Jean Hanks of Burton, sister and brother-in-law Lennie and Richard Gano of Huntsville, daughter Christene Hanks of Austin. He is also survived by nieces Beth Novak and Rodney Conklin of Brenham, Jamie Kuykendall and husband Victor of Bryan, nephews Rusty Wessinger and wife Karen of Baytown, and John Wessinger and wife Paula of Brenham, Uncle Mikel Redman of LA, Aunt and Uncle L.J. and Mary Young of Willis and Aunt Bertie Beaver of FL; many cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father Elmore Hanks, brother Herbert Russell Hanks, nephew Jeffery Wessinger, grandparents Bill and Beatrice Hanks and J.F. and Opal Redman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in Bethany Christian Church on Brazos St. in Burton with Bob Hofmann officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
