Ronda Marx Faulkenberry

Ronda Marx Faulkenberry, 52, of Katy passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at her residence.

Ronda was born April 13, 1956 to parents Lawrence Hayes and Peggy Sue Summers Blackford. Ronda loved her family not just as relatives, but also as her best friends. She always supported her daughter’s passion for music. Ronda believed in her son through all adversities and will always stand by his side. She always told her children that they could achieve anything. She was president of Memorial High School Choir Booster Club from 2003-2004 and volunteered for many school functions over the years. Ronda loved cooking, gardening and entertaining in her home. She loved her Golden Retriever, Riley Joe. In her youth, Ronda was enrolled in the 4-H Horse Program for nine years. Ronda won many championships including State Champion Mare (1965 & 1969). Ronda was Galveston County Rodeo Queen in 1972.

Survivors include husband William Faulkenberry III; son Jason Marx; daughter Tiffany Marx and future son-in-law Johnny Krenek; stepson Rossi Faulkenberry; stepdaughter Carmelita Faulkenberry; grandchildren Michaela Cain-Krenek and Hannah Flannagan; brother Larry Blackford; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Matt Levis; step-sisters Mandy Rhodes and Gayle Porter; nieces Lisa Henneke; nephews Lynn Littlefield and Vernon Hensel; devoted dog Riley Joe; friends Laura Nielsen, Patricia Ramsey, Elise and Glenn Massey, Eva and Leonidas Vezos, Stu and Suzanne Marion.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Services are at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Monsignor Benedict Zientek will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill.
