Very sweet person and such a great friend to my family. Always enjoyed my visits with her and talking about Salem history. My last visit was to take her a home grown grapefruit after my wife peeled it.

Ruth was such a wonderful lady. My Daddy was in the nursing home for awhile, and she was comforting and interesting to talk with. We visited about the old times and remembered Dr. Heller. Ruth said he took good care of the trees her mother and father gave her. I am grateful to know her. Heaven has certainly gained an angel. God bless the family and friends.

I stopped to visit with Ruth in the lobby
because of her smile. When I told her my
family and the Hueske family had always
been friends she started telling me about
my sister Becky and me when we were
small and even later I guess when we
were in the paper. I then introduced her
to Ernest Bentke whom I had been giving
Communion for Saint Paul ‘s. She had
known his wife etc. I knew from then on
he would be included in her wide circle of
friends there. Later I had to just call her.
She told me about hospice and her deep
Faith. I feel as if she is in Heaven gathering
her many friends now. A wonderful lady!

Haven't seen here in years. I walked in the nursing home in Sept. 2019 and she called me by name. I was so surprised that she remembered me. She was just as pretty and cheerful like always. Sympathies to the family

Ruth had a quiet voice that always made you welcome and yes she was a great help to the Dr. Herman and Fred Hodde.

I knew Miss Hueske for decades. She was a long-time nurse for my Uncle Herman Hodde. Having to go to see the doctor was made so much more pleasant because of her calm and caring manner. The last time I saw her was before Christmas at Brenham Nursing. She was excited to show me her decorations in her room. Whenever I saw her there, she had a smile for me and a little conversation. A nice lady. I will miss her.
