Obituary
Rynlee Faye Vecera, 16 months old, passed away on October 8, 2026. She was born on June 6, 2025, in Katy, Texas, to her loving parents, Devin and MacKenzie Vecera.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Rynlee brought immeasurable love and joy to her family and to everyone that was blessed to know her. She was always the light in everyone’s day, filling each moment with warmth, happiness, and love. Rynlee had the most beautiful smile one that was completely contagious and made it impossible not to smile back. Her joyful spirit brightened every room and left a lasting impression on everyone around her.
Rynlee was known for her sweet “pat pats,” gently patting your back whenever she hugged you. Those tender hugs and little pats were among the many ways she showed her love and made everyone feel special. She also had a way of making goodbyes even sweeter, waving bye after you had already left, as though she wanted to send one more bit of love your way.
As the cherished only child of Devin and MacKenzie, Rynlee holds a special place in their hearts and is treasured by her entire family. Her life, however brief, was a precious gift, and the love she brought into the world will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Rynlee was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Hugh and Anne Flora, Robert and Julia VerSteegh, Earl and Dorris Herring, and Richard “Sonny” Herring.
Rynlee is survived by her devoted parents, Devin and MacKenzie Vecera; her grandparents, Bryon and Michele Vecera and Mark and Kimberly Herring; her great-grandparents, Lawrence and Clarice Vecera; her aunts and uncles, Kyle and Nicole Vecera, Brendan and Ashton Guajardo, and Mark and Alexis Herring; and her cousins, Isaac and Emmitt Guajardo and Brooks Herring. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and all who were blessed to share in her young life.
Pallbearers are Mark Herring, Kyle Vecera, Brendan Guajardo, and Evan Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Collin Vecera, Isaac Guajardo, Emmitt Guajardo, and Brooks Herring.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 4pm until 8pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel with family present. A Rosary will take place beginning at 8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 24, 2026 beginning at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas. Burial will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family requests that everyone please wear bright colors in remembrance of Rynlee.
Though Rynlee’s life was brief, the love she leaves behind is everlasting. She will forever be her parents’ precious daughter, princess warrior, her family’s beloved little girl, and a treasured part of the hearts and memories of all who loved her. Her beautiful smile, contagious joy, sweet hugs, gentle “pat pats,” and little waves goodbye will be remembered and cherished always. Her family will hold her close in their hearts, finding comfort in the love they shared and the precious memories that will remain with them always. It’s never goodbye, it’s always see you later!
