Sam Farquhar

Sam Farquhar, age 57 of Brenham, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 8, 2009 at his home.

Sam was born February 2, 1951 in Houston to Samuel and Elizabeth Farquhar. He was a graduate of Waltrip High School. He was also the owner of North Suburban Appliance in Houston. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the big family gatherings.

His father preceded him in death.

Family members include: mother Elizabeth Farquhar of Houston, daughters Michelle Farquhar of Houston, Charlotte Farquhar of Brenham, Samantha Farquhar of Houston; grandchildren Chanel and Jaylen Fletcher, Sammy Farquhar, Destiny Davis, Devin Smith; sister Lisa Chumley of Houston; nephews Jason and Justin Chumley; great niece Taylor Chumley.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, prior to the 1 p.m. service time at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Rev. Regan Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Burgess, Jason Chumley, Justin Chumley, Ray Smith, Shawn Chance, and Van Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Hyams and Alton Sanderson.

A reception will follow at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
