Selma Faithauer Carr

Selma Carr, 87 of Brenham, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at her home.

Selma was born March 31, 1919 in Brenham to William and Emma (Hahn) Faithauer. She was baptized on June 8,1919 in Frieden’s United Church of Christ of Gay Hill by Rev. Karl Mueller. On September 14, 1945 she married Buford H. Carr, Sr. in Houston. Selma was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Brenham.

Her parents, husband, numerous brothers and sisters including Ella Mae Burnside and Esther Smith preceded her in death.

Survivors are son Buford H. “Bubba” Carr, Jr. and wife Mary of Houston; daughters Betty Moody of Spring and Jane Roberts and husband David of Conroe; grandchildren Rachel Carr, Michele Amerson, Michael Martin, Jr., David Roberts, Jr. and Chad Roberts; great-grandchildren Brittney Key, Chelsea Key, Trip and Raley Roberts and Christine and Cole Roberts; brother Herbert Faithauer and wife Linda Mae of Brenham; sisters Edna Plantt of Brenham and Adele Brown of Tomball along with numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will Sunday, April 16, 2006 from 5 - 7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Embry officiating. A 12:30 p.m. service will be held in Veterans National Cemetery Chapel in Houston with burial to follow.
