Obituary
Sharon K. Brown, 60 of Brenham, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 in Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility, Bryan.
She was born August 2, 1952 in Brenham to Calvin and Selma (Peters) Naumann. Sharon was baptized, confirmed and remained a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Brenham High School class of 1970. On November 27, 1971, she married James C. Brown in Grace Lutheran Church. She was manager of Topper’s Liquor & Wine.
Sharon was very active in the work of her church: serving as recording secretary of Sunday School for over 25 years, serving as past PTL president of Grace Lutheran School, and working in the church day care.
She was preceded in death by: father, Calvin Naumann; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Artie and J.P. Brown; and sisters-in-law, Cindia Brown and Sue Brown.
Loving family includes: husband, Jim Brown; sons, Doug Brown, Matthew Brown and wife Renee; grandson, Andrew Brown; mother, Selma Naumann; sisters , Marilyn Naumann, Pat Byrd Wright and husband Hoot; aunts, Mae Dufilho, Margaret Peters, Lonie Reue; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerald Brown, Ronnie and Robbie Brown, Carl and Sena Brown, Ray and Glyna Brown; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22nd from 6-8 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 23rd at 2 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church with pastors Matthew Jacobs, William Holzer and Lee Kunkel. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Heath Byrd, Gerald Krause, David Reue, Alan Pennington, Bobby Brown, Joe Brown, Joshua Brown, and Jacob Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Brown, Isabel Byrd, Wyatt Byrd, Tyler Byrd and employees of Topper’s.
Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church building fund or school fund, or Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility.
