Skye Marie Schumpert

Skye Marie Shumpert was born November 7, 1983, in Brenham, Texas. She was called to her eternal home on December 15, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Cindy Clay and Mark Shumpert.

Skye was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all whom had the privilege of knowing her. Though her journey on this Earth was far too short, it was filled with love, passion, and an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. We ask that she be remembered not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived- and for the profound impact she had on those around her.

After graduating from Brenham High School, Skye pursued her passion by attending cosmetology school in Tomball. She quickly became known for her talent and creativity, especially when it came to nails- often saying “the flashier, the better.” Whether working her daily job or creating beauty for others, she brought joy, confidence, and laughter everywhere she went.

Those who knew Skye will forever remember her infectious smile, her unmistakable laugh, and her rare gift for lifting the spirits of others. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

In 2009, Skye was diagnosed with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, shortly after the birth of her oldest daughter, Mariah. Despite these challenges, she faced life with strength, resilience, and grace, never allowing her diagnosis to define or limit her. In 2015, she welcomed her second daughter, Savannah. Her daughters were her heart and soul, and she cherished them deeply. She often reminded them, “I love you to the moon and back.”

Skye will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. While our hearts carry the weight of her absence, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely and the joy she brought into our lives. Her light will continue to shine through the memories we hold and the lives she touched.

The family invites all who knew and loved Skye to come together in remembrance and celebration of her beautiful life. Please come as you are and join us in honoring, remembering, and celebrating the life of Skye Shumpert “Forever in our hearts.” Her Celebration of Life will be held on April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the All Sports Building, located at 137 Lounge Road, Brenham, Texas 77833.
