Stella Jezierski Kmiec

Stella B. Kmiec, 87 of Brenham died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Trinity Care Center in Brenham. She was born on October 22, 1918 in Chappell Hill, Texas, the daughter of John and Hedwig (Cegielski) Jezierski. She was baptized, confirmed and married in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Mrs. Kmiec was a devoted wife of the late Willie Kmiec, a loving mother and grandmother and a proud great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a caring friend of many and loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Kmiec, her parents, daughter-in-law Sandy (Laas) Kmiec, grandson Samuel Paul Jacob, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Kmiec and Michael Kmiec, of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law Louise and Fred Kessel of Brenham, Barbara and Walter Thane, Jr. of Navasota, Esther and Calvin Landry of Brenham and Deborah and Mark Jacob of Carmine; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one (1) great-great-grandchild; brother Johnny Jezierski of Hempstead; sisters Mary Pawlawski of Willis and Elnora Kmiec of Houston.

The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 27 at 5:00 p.m. with visitation to follow in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

A Mass of Resurrection will be said at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28 with Msgr. Benedict Zientek as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
