I was so sorry to hear about Stew. I did not know that he had been sick. I wish that I had kept in touch with him.
He was a good friend and plant manager while here at Ligonier. I remember the last time he visited here at the plant...we had a good talk.
This is one of the funny things that I will always remember about Stew. When he came here to interview for the manager's position he had on a 3 piece suit....I never saw him in a 3 piece suit again.
I will keep you all in my prayers.
God Bless.

Dear Anita,

Melissa and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies. We were both very fond of Stew. We enjoyed bumping into him and sharing a drink at Frankie Rowlands. In fact, the last time we saw Stew was right around his 60th birthday. We had gone to Frankie's to celebrate Melissa's birthday. As we were walking in the door I said to her "I wonder if we will run into Stew again". Sure enough, he was in there having dinner with Stacey. He will be deeply missed.

Dear Anita,
Linda and I are so sorry about the loss of your husband. You and Stew's family are in our prayers.

I have not only lost a valuable business associate but a truly great friend with the loss of Stew. He and I have known each other since he hired me at Murray Rubber in Brenham in 1983. We worked very well together then and it has continued for the past twenty five years. I have been honored to know him not only in business but as a dependable personal friend. I could always count on him for a chat and a laugh or two as well as real help when I needed it. He had a way of building my confidence and motivating me to be the best I could be. He bailed me out of trouble a few times too.

I especially appreciate his support when I started my company in 1995. Seems many encouraged me to do it but Stew stepped up and actually helped in many ways. For that I am eternally grateful.

We guys typically keep a limited circle of friends but I for one have will have an empty space in my address book that can never be filled.

May God bless you and your family…

Anita:

Our hearts are sorrowed for you and your family in your loss of a great man. We will miss him and his hearty laugh. It is so hard to give up loved ones however, we must realize that they are far better off.

Take care of yourself ~
