Obituary

Tara Lynn Freeman, age 61, of Carmine, Texas, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, September 1st, 2019. Tara was born on April 8th, 1958 in Austin, Texas to Joe and Betty Jackson.

Tara married her adoring husband Kenneth Freeman on April 2nd, 1981 in Conroe, Texas. They raised their two daughters Nicole and Erin in Carmine, Texas where Tara was known for her ready smile and friendly, big hearted nature. Tara was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her daughters but she especially loved her role as Gem. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of many.

Tara was a selfless, generous and devoted individual. Her loving attributes and regard for kindness radiated outward through her work and actions. She was a person who took great joy in others successes. She believed in following your dreams, and turning them into reality. Her quick wit, beautiful smile and endearing spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death, her father the late Joe Jackson.

Tara is survived by her loving husband of thirty eight years, Kenneth Freeman Jr. of Carmine, Texas. Her daughters and their spouses Nicole and James Hicks of Kerrville, Texas; Erin and Matthew Hunsaker of Smithville, Texas. Her grandchildren: JoHanna Kingston, Catlyn Hicks, Dylan Hicks, and Lachlan Schielack. Her mother Betty Jackson of Kingwood, Texas; and her four brothers and their spouses: Joe Patrick Jackson of Washington DC, Michael and Sandra Jackson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Timothy and Anita Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, and Johnathan Jackson of Splendora, Texas. Her mother and father in law Marjorie and Kenneth Freeman of Montgomery, Texas. Her sister and brother in laws: Carole Hamilton of Tacoma, Washington, Paula and Ezequiel Tamarit of Montgomery, Texas, Rebecca and Jody Borque of Conroe, Texas as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

The family has entrusted Brenham Memorial Chapel with the arrangements of Tara’s memorial service. Visitation will be Saturday, September 7th, 2019 from 11:00 am until the memorial service begins at 2:00 pm, both held at Brenham Memorial Chapel
