Obituary

Theresa (Baranowski) Haught, 88, of Chappell Hill, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with Rosary recited at 7:00 pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018, and the funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, May 6, 2018, both at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Deacon Al Prescott of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Reception for close friends and family will be held at the home of David & Bay Haught in Chappell Hill.

Theresa was born on November 18, 1929, to parents Joe and Helen (Kaminski) Baranowski and was raised on the family farm in Chappell Hill. On December 26, 1949, Theresa married Bill Haught at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. They made their home in Spring, Texas and were faithful members of St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Spring. Theresa was a full time Mom, and her life revolved around her children, and later, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by: children and their spouses, Bonnie Link, David & Bay Haught, Susan & Larry Mathews, Betty & Tommy Driskill; grandchildren and their spouses, Caryl & Cliff McBroom, Karyn & Robbie Curtis, Amanda & Michael Sieja, Krystal & Ben Hickman, Christopher & Kelly (Wormhoudt) Haught, Megan & Russell Meier, Blake & Krista Mathews, Emily & Trey Bevans and Ashley Mathews; and great-grandchildren, Cheyann and Haden McBroom, Kamryn and Ashlyn Curtis, David, Allison and Wyatt Sieja, Emma and Holden Garza, Adalynn Hickman, Cole and Nathan Meier, Lucy and Casimir Mathews, and Baby Bevans who is on the way; and sister, Genevie & Wilfred Przyborski.

Theresa is preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2011, her parents, her sister, Annie Baranowski, and her son-in-law Darwin B. Link.
