Thomas Homer McMahon, Jr. - Guestbook

Cyndee and Family, so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was such a great guy, I'm truly going to miss talking to him. I'm so glad that I got the chance to know him better over the past decade. He was one of a kind. Praying for all of you. God bless.

To some of Sean's friends, he was known as Homer or The Cowboy. I remember the carefully curated packets of news clippings Tom would send to Sean.

Not sure if The Ranch was in existence in the mid 90s, but it was in the works, with Sean and his friends joking about how we hoped the Twin Cities Cowboy wouldn't get swindled into buying a lame Paint.

I spent time at Tom's house in Bellevue during Thanksgiving 1995 where I met Cyndee, Angie, Randy and others. Perhaps the Greek was there too. The garbage had to go out every night. And that's where I first learned of how Starbucks, before going on to total global domination, would get their daily annuity out of many of us. I still drive by the Factoria store occasionally.

Tom, Sean, and my brother played golf at Black Butte Ranch in summer 1996. Not a great weather day, but we had a lot of fun and it was great that Sean and Tom made the effort to take us up on our offer for a round of golf.

Blessed to have meet and spent time with Tom. My thoughts and love go out to his family and close friends

I am so sad & shocked to learn of Tom's passing.
I've have known Tom since 1996 - joining Claire's as Regional, So. California. Tom flew in to meet me in L.A. - as he was the Sr. V.P., West Coast R.E. From 2001 - 2007 Tom & his Dept. reported to me. We traveled together each yr. to the ICSC (International Convention for Shopping Centers) held in Las Vegas, NV. Tom was highly respected within the Industry & Claire's Inc. Internationally - as an honest, loyal & dedicated deal maker & negotiator.
Since retiring Tom has remained a ture friend & consultant for me and countless others.
Tom will truly be missed. He touched people & enhanced businesses during his life & career.
God bless his entire family.
My deepest condolences, Nancy Rich

Sean:

Your Dad and I were really great buddies and spent most of our years together making each other laugh. HIs name has and always will bring a smile to my face and I will remember him always.

We spoke about a month ago and he was so proud of being 80 and told me that I now had to "respect" him as a consideration for his being old and wise. He was both...and I told him so.

Deepest condolence to you and the family. I will miss him.

Will be missed by so many who learned to love the guy for all he did and said thru the years.

Tom was one of the real ones. Sincere, caring and a love of life. Work was fun with Tom as he always had a joke or a comment to let one know that while work was important it is the people who matter. That I kept in touch with Tom beyond our working lives is a testament to his character. I looked forward to his many posts and lived the rodeo life through him. I will miss those posts but am lucky to have had Tom touch my life. To the family I offer my condolences and hope you will carry celebrating a terrific guy who made this world a beter place.

My sorrow is made a bit less than...understanding the gifts I was given during my time with Mac ....so many wonderful memories of our freidnship, brotherhood measured in decades not years...throw in a couple hilarious ski adventures ( Mac and I had one important goal in Seattle " ski " a full 6 months ...we nailed it.... twice ) our conventions, road trip stories , through Vegas , NYC, Seattle so many good times we can never begin to count. A good , decent , kind " funny " man that left more than his mark as a husband , professional , human , father , grandad as my cherished friend and when he knew I needed ....my mentor. How Blessed to have been part of our simply amazing circle of friends all of. us being able to call Mac " my darn good friend "
...who ever is standing behind Mac at the Pearly Gates get comoftable , grab lunch , maybe dinner .....Mac, is going to be talking with St. Peter for a good while....I will alias see the ever present smile on your face and those smile
ing Irish eyes Mac ... I always will.
All our love dear Mac
