Obituary

Timothy Lee Andrews, age 79, answered his savior’s call and went to his eternal heavenly home on June 20, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Timothy was born April 14, 1947, in San Jose, California, who was the son of James Lee and Molly Thayer (Kinkead) Andrews. He was a graduate of Exeter High School in Exeter, California, and then attended Sacramento State University where he met and married Diane Johnson, the mother of his three children.

Tim accepted the Lord as his Savoir at the age of 12 at a Billy Graham crusade in San Francisco. He redirected his life in 1990 at Trinity Baptist Church in Santa Clara, California.

His first real job was selling shoes, where he learned he had a talent for being a salesman. This led him to seek employment at the local financial investment firm, which became his lifelong career.

Tim married his loving wife Barbara (Willard) Andrews on June 2, 1990. Tim and Barb moved to Austin in 1991, and he joined Pain Webber Financial Services. Tim’s clients were like family to him. Before retiring in 2013, Tim formed a team of three young Christian men to continue serving his valued clients.

When Barbara lost her daughter, Kristi Willard, in a motorcycle accident on September 5, 1996, Tim and Barbara raised her 5-year-old son, William. This was a joyous yet often challenging time in their lives.

In September of 2015, Tim was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) and was given less than one year to live. God had other plans, however, and put Tim to work in service to Him. Tim developed a deep love for his Savoir. He joined Bible study groups, Gideons International, taught Sunday school, and on his frequent trips to M.D. Anderson, prayed for his nurses and staff, as well as other patients. This became his “mission field.”

Tim was deeply loved, admired, and respected, not only by his family, but by friends, co-workers, and his church family. His absence will leave a huge void in many hearts.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents and his stepdaughter, Kristi Willard.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children Wendy Madden (Joe), Todd Andrews (Kathleen), and Kallie Biskner (James); stepson Douglas Willard brother Dennis Andrews (Pasty); sisters, Becky Tafoya, and Debbie Donovan (Russ); thirteen beautiful grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 18th at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1100 Niebuhr Brenham TX 77833 with Pastor Billy Sutherland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to The Gideon’s International.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX 77833. 979-836-3611. Condolences may be shared at bmc@brenhammemorialchapel.com
