Timothy Norris Brooks

Timothy Norris Brooks, age 78, passed away and went to meet Jesus August 29, 2025.

Tim was born in Shelby, North Carolina to Norris (Henry) and Janice (Whisnant) Brooks, whom he loved deeply. After graduating Chase high school in 1965 he took a job at Pittsburgh Plate Glass as a glass worker. This is where his love of hard work was born. Tim knew early on he was capable of greatness and that showed through when he found his true calling as an insurance salesman. A man that could sell anything, he had a way with words and also with people. A career that spanned 40+ years and successfully provided for his family a life of joy and happiness.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, classy sense of style, love of making those around him laugh and a charm that would light up any room. Always dressed to impress, Tim was an excellent salesman and an even better father. Devoted to his family, his greatest joy was spending time with his children and his grandchildren. Never a dull moment around him or during one of the many phone calls he would make throughout the day to his loved ones. He left a permanent hole where his company will not be matched by anyone. He loved a good round of golf with his 2 brothers, keeping his cars in pristine condition and was constantly on the go. Traveling to visit family and friends in Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina and all over the country was something he did regularly. Whether he was in the yard, cutting grass with his cowboy boots and shorts on or chopping vegetables in the kitchen to help out he was always ready to lend a hand as long as he was with his family. He was the happiest surrounded by the ones he loved and will be so incredibly missed by so many.

Timothy is preceded in death by his parents Norris and Janice Brooks; grandparents Eli Durham Whisnant, Evie Rhinehardt Whisnant and Early Coleman Brooks, Bessie Callahan Brooks.

Left to cherish his memories and miss his existence are his daughters Leigh Parich, (Son in law, Sam Parich III), Bethany Brooks, Dana Brooks Mcubbin (Son in law, Lamar Mcubbin) and his only son, Jason Brooks (Daughter in law, Josette Brooks). Along with his 14 grandchildren and his 4 siblings, Brenda Carpenter (Winfred), Ted Brooks (Christy), Danny Brooks & Sherry Gantt. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family and friends. Details will be shared once arrangements have been made.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff of Baylor Scott & White in College Station and Temple along with Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation for the compassionate care that was shown to Timothy and his family.
