I am so sorry for your loss; Tommy was a wonderful man. I enjoyed talking with him when we all worked at HEB. He always had something positive to say. May God hold you in his loving arms.

When my family moved to Brenham in 1982 we chose Safeway Pharmacy as our facility of choice. Little did we know what a treasure we were receiving. Tommy became our trusted advisor and friend dispensing not only medication, but friendly banter, sincere opinions and solutions to the problems of the world. He had the unique ability to bundle professionalism and friendly neighborliness into one genuine package. I know we were young and busy back then, but there always seemed time to visit a bit when picking up our supplies. Why is that? Life seemed slower somehow. The lines seemed shorter back then.

Tommy was so trusted that when changes were brewing and Safeway was closing and HEB coming in, I went to the pharmacy, leaned over the counter and said, "Just tell me where you are going, Tommy. That's where we will take our business."

He grinned a sheepish grin then quietly revealed HEB had made him an offer.

"Then it's settled," I replied, "We will stay here."

Please accept my deepest condolences, Debbie, and know our prayers are for your strength and comfort.
