What can I say Mr. Hinze was one of a kind. A great teacher and mentor to me. He was instrumental in getting me in the funeral business and opening my own funeral home Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria, Texas from which I am retired. He and Mrs. Hinze were both my teachers in Moulton. Both great mentors to many kids in Moulton. When in Biology if you were not paying attention Mr. Hinze would throw an eraser at you to get your attention. You definitely would pay attention after that. What great memories of my high school years with both of them.
Rest in peace Mr. Hinze. Job well done buddy. May god bring his blessings upon Mrs. Hinze and Jennifer.

Mr. Hinze! You will always be Mr. Hinze! That is out of the respect I and many others had for you. You will always be remembered for your impish grin. My sister, Carole Kalisek, was one of the co-conspirators that matched you up with Miss Folwer. The most notable memory I have is the time in Science lab when during your speaking a farmer walked in unannounced carrying a large cardboard box. Inside was an 8 foot Bull snake that he had just run over with his tractor! He thought that you should have it since you were the science teacher of Moulton. That snake was stretched out on a wooden board and is still mounted on the wall in the science lab today!

I am so grateful to have been able to work with The Hinze family before moving to Fort Worth. I have missed the rides on the mule going down the fence line and checking hog pins. You couldn't see that well so I got to be your eyes on the road. Val you knew that land like no other, so why not let you drive. My heart breaks knowing you and Mrs. Thelma will be apart for a bit. I seen a love between you two that I could dream about. Val keep your eyes shining down on that beautiful homestead and make sure Jennifer and David keep up the way you did. Rest in the good lord's arms. I will see you when my time comes. Prayers for your family and friends.

Val brought out my love for science in high school. A very good teacher and I'd like to think later on, a friend. Peace and rest easy. My condolences to Thelma and Jennifer and all the family.

I understand Val fought valiantly for all the time he could be with his family. I'm saddened to know Keetie had to say goodbye to her closest friend, and I know Jennifer and David will miss his wisdom.

Val has moved on to a better fishing hole absent the pain of this lifetime. We too will bide our time appropriately, yet yearn to be with him, family and friends again. Take care until then.

Love,
Leland and Chandra
