Verlyn (Schulz) Mosley

Verlyn Mosley, 94, of Brenham (Welcome Community) passed away July 17, 2020 in Katy TX.
She was born August 26, 1925, to Walter and Ophelia Schulz. When Verlyn was two years old, her mother passed away and Verlyn and her brothers were then raised by their grandparents, W.C. and Louise Thielemann in the Welcome Community. She was baptized and confirmed in the Welcome Lutheran Church.
She married Charles Mosley, January 31, 1947 at Park Place Lutheran in Houston TX. They lived in Pasadena TX where they raised their 4 children. In 1983, they retired and moved to the property where she was raised in Welcome and again became members of Welcome Lutheran.
She enjoyed her family, traveling and the Shell Retirees’ Club which she and Charles organized in the Brenham area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; brothers Walter Schulz, Jr., and Delphine Schulz; her half-brother Leroy Schulz and half-sister Peggy Whitten; son-in-law David Collins and great-grandson Jonas Collins.
She is survived by her sons Rev. Charles William (Bill) Mosley and wife Rev. Linda Mosley of Llano, Alan Mosley and wife Sharon of New Braunfels, and daughters Becky Collins of New Ulm and Donna Stookey and husband Jim of Tulsa OK, 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A private family graveside service will held Monday, July 20, at Welcome Lutheran Cemetery.
