Obituary
Victoria “Busia” Jozwiak, 101, of Brenham passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
Mrs. Jozwiak was born December 8, 1905 in Chappell Hill to John and Constantia Bartkowiak Januchowski. She was baptized December 10, 1905 and confirmed at the age of 13 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill and attended Chappell Hill schools. On November 11, 1924 she married John Stanley Jozwiak in St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Brenham. She was a homemaker, member of St. Mary’s Church Altar and Rosary Society. She prayed two rosaries everyday and gave her family their faith. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and rolling out Kluski noodles.
Her parents, husband John, sons Joe and Charles “Kite” Jozwiak, daughter Dorothy Jozwiak, grandson Robert Wier, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 sons-in-law preceded her in death.
Surviving family include sons Bernard Joswiak of Lake Livingston, Patrick Jozwiak and wife Fay of Houston; daughters Marie Snow of Brenham, Janet Wier, Florence Kasowski and husband Marion all of Houston; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel by Dan Nowak.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2007 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Benedict Zientek, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are her great-grandsons Mikey Bernick, Obbie Baker, Cody Dunstan, Kyle Jadloski, Grant Janak, Justin Joswiak and Brett Wisniskie. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Balcerek, Jimmy Bernick, Fay Jozwiak, Jimmie Joswiak, John John Jozwiak, Larry Jozwiak, Paul Jozwiak, Phillip Jozwiak, Taylor Jozwiak and Marion Kasowski.
