Obituary

Vivian Lea Raska, 79, of Brenham, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 16, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1945, in Houston, Texas, to Joseph Palash and Julia Wrobleski Bell. On July 11, 1966, she married James Raska at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas.

A woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and strong convictions, Vivian lived a life rooted in her belief in God, her love for her family, and a patriotic spirit. Vivian was never shy about her beliefs – she loved Jesus, her family and was a passionate supporter of Trump. She stood firm in her values with grace and strength.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Roehling and husband Stacey; son, Shannon Raska; grandchildren Addie Roehling, Kyler and Maci Roehling and Braden Roehling; and siblings Phil Bell and James Bell along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia Bell; husband James; brothers Kirby Palash, LJ Palash, and Rusty Bell.

Vivian’s wisdom, laughter and her unshakable faith will truly be missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, strength, and quiet devotion will leave a lasting legacy.

She ran her race with courage, conviction, and love. “Well done, good and faithful servant” – Matthew 25:23

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 11:00am Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Brenham, Texas. Pastor Tim Webb will be officiating.
