William S. “Bill” Shepherd, Sr.

William S. “Bill” Shepherd, Sr., 82 of Brenham, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Shepherd was born April 23, 1931 in Brandon Manitoba, Canada to Sheldon Asa Shepherd and Serepta Viney (Thomas) Shepherd. On October 29, 1965 he married Gregoria Gutierrez in Matamoros, Mexico. He was a professional truck driver for forty-five years.

Survivors include: wife Gregoria “Goya” Shepherd; sons and daughters-in-law William S. Jr. and Rebecca Shepherd, Edward Lee and Kristi Shepherd, John F. Shepherd; grandchild Emali Fernandez; sister Lailah Boston; brother and sister-in-law Merle S. and Millie Shepherd; numerous nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the ICU nurse, Amanda, at College Station Medical Center for the care she provided.

Memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, American Cancer Society or donate blood in his name.
