Obituary

Doris Wagner, 81 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Doris Ann Grimm was born February 5, 1942 in the Prairie Hill Community to Raymond and Alma (Niemeyer) Grimm. She attended Prairie Hill School. She married Harold “Bubba” Wagner October 8, 1961. Doris worked 45 years at Brentex Mills retiring as foreman in the spinning department. She enjoyed the outdoors; working with her flowers and watching birds come to her feeders. She did embroidery work and crossword puzzles.

Doris was preceded in death by: by husband Harold Wagner; daughter Krystal Weatherly; parents Raymond and Alma Grimm; parents-in-laws Esther and Henry Wagner; sisters Rosa Troy, Gernell and Albin Jasinski, Helen Konieczny; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Darlene Jane and Ocie Helmer; sister-in-law Doris Wagner, brother-in-law Ronnie Kraker.

Doris is survived by: daughter and son-in-law Tammy and David Schwartz; sons and daughter-in-law Mike and Ruby Wagner, Brian Wagner, Jason Wagner; son-in-law Dirk Weatherly; brother and sister-in-law James and Carolyn Grimm; sisters and brothers-in-law Patsy and PeeWee Kalkhake, Carol Krivacka, Judy and Donald “Bubba” Mantey, Terry and Clinton Mantey, Debbie and Marvin Roehling, George Konieczny; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Vernon and Judy Wagner, Arvin Wagner, Janice and Robert Fairlie, Jeanette and Barry Kraker; grandchildren Nicholas Schwartz, Maddie Weatherly, Andrew Wagner; great-grandson Hunter Wagner; step-grandson Jessie Fritz and wife Kaitlyn and their daughter Alexis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27th from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., with family present from 5-7p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 28th at 2 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel with Pastor Norman Sulaica, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Fairlie, Randy Schwartz, Jerry Schwartz, Dusty Schwartz, Heath “Peanut” Kalkhake, and Quint Mantey.
